Alien

1979 UK Color 124 minutes

The seven-member crew of the commercial towing vehicle Nostromo is en route to Earth when the ship intercepts a signal of mysterious origin. Three crewmembers leave the ship to explore the area. At the source of the transmission they discover a derelict spaceship, laden with a cargo of alien eggs.

Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) realizes that the signal is actually a warning, but by then it's too late. The team comes back with an alien clamped onto the face of one of their members, but medical officer Ash (Ian Holm), is unable to remove the creature since the creature's acidic blood could burn through the ship's hull. Then, the creature disappears. This event not only leads to tension and dissent amongst the crew, which eventually becomes pure terror as the creature grows and stalks the crew through the ship
