Evan Almighty

Why do you sound like Evan Baxter but look like a Bee Gee? Photo of Morgan Freeman

God (Morgan Freeman) commands Evan (Steve Carell) to build an ark because of the flood that's coming. It must be ready to float by mid-day on September 22. Animals start gathering menacingly, two-by-two. He soon finds his faith and begins construction, though he faces pressure from all fronts in regard to his actions.

As a newly appointed Congressman, he must try and convince his assistant Rita (Wanda Sykes) and Congressman Long (John Goodman) that he still has his sanity which becomes hard to do once animals start following him to work. But Evan has God on his side and with that, miracles are bound to happen.
