The Hound of the Baskervilles

Some people without possessing genius have a remarkable power for stimulating it
Sir Charles Baskerville is stricken dead by a mysterious heart attack. Dr Mortimer (Neil Duncan) comes to London to engage Sherlock Holmes to investigate the mystery. Retelling the story of the Baskerville curse, he asks Holmes to help protect the last known surviving member of the Baskerville family, Sir Henry Baskerville (Kristoffer Tabori).
Unable to head to Baskerville mansion immediately, Holmes (Jeremy Brett) sends his colleague Dr. Watson (Edward Hardwicke) to act as his surrogate. What Watson doesn't know is that Holmes, donning several clever disguises, is closely monitoring the activities of everyone in and around the estate.
Eventually Holmes and Watson converge upon Baskerville Hall, near the dreaded Grimpen Mire, where a huge and voracious hound threatens the well-being of all concerned.
